It wasn't necessary.

Your frame and my frame are exactly the same underneath. Like I posted a few days ago, I used my lift to pick up a '12 Fat bob. I didn't have to do anything extra. Slide the jack under and start lifting. So, by that, your frame is the exact same as the '12 fat bob. Nothing extra was needed.

There is no need to change it, it does everything you will ever need for your bike, why do you think you might need a "better" one?

My sears Craftsman does the same thing. But it isnt an issue for me

Cut off the loops. You can strap to the frame w/ no problem.

OK, finally went out and looked at the lift, I see where you have the problem, I never noticed before because I added a 1/2" nylon spacer between the arms and pads to get a little extra width and it clears the strap loops with the spacers in there.

I would not cut the loops off, I do use them once in a while.
