Default Andrews 30T power pulley

I just read something on the forums about how an andrews 30T power pulley would add considerable hp jump to a stock bike.

Really? I checked them and they're around $130 for a Dyna. Not bad.

Do they make them for on '09 Dyna? How many teeth does the pulley on a stock '09 dyna have anyways?

Is it worth it and how much would it cost to change in a shop?

I already have stage 1 on the bike. TIA.

Changing the gearing DOES NOT change your HP numbers.

However, going with a lower overall gear ratio will make your bike "feel" stronger as it will be geared down.

Your stock counter pulley is 32 tooth.

My bad,... I thought he was talking about the front sprocket in the primary.

Default Andrews 30T Power Pulley

Do a search on HD forums. You will find lots of good info.

Many of us have made the switch from 32 tooth to 30 tooth. The Torque curve on your engine is reached much quicker and the bottom and top end RPMs are at least to me much more suitable and usable than the stock gearing. Most say this mod is one of the best they have done to their later model Scoot.

don't forget the price of any tools needed to do the change... special tools for removal of stock pulley are big $$.

I know this is an old thread....but one question, do you have to throw your scoot on a dyno after doing this? I would assume no!

no. this has nothing to do with the engine. You can't add hp with a new primary sprocket or tire change or whatever. It doesn't work like that.
