looking for some input on saddle bags for my 98 wg, there are so many out there. thought about throw overs but hear they wear on the fender, i would like something i can remove without the supports hanging out there and not relocating my turn signals, thanks guys.
Ghostbrackets for quick detach, zip off throw over bags, plexis glass, and some simple work...
I went with ghostbrackets and cut the zipper off each side, made a plexiglass support the same size as the inside of the bag. Bolted the ghost brackets to plexiglass, and used those black plastic automotive door pannel rivits (for lack of a better word) to hold the saddlebag against the plexi... Cheap, easy, and functional. The ghost brackets was the most expesive part like $130 or something, $60 for the bags of ebay, $10 for plexi, $5 for the plastic christmas tree, rivit like, door pannel things. A few hours of work and it was all worth it!
I went with Leatherpro bags on my 07 Wide Glide. Removable in seconds, leaves almost nothing behind (looks good), accommodates my removable sissy bar, no turn signal relocation needed (at least on my bike).

Got Pics? I have the same bike and I am looking for throw over bags.
