I lowered my bike and it needs more lean. I looked underneath and I see a pin with a washer and cotter pin on one end. Just pulling the pin out will drop the stand?
pull the pin and you can get the stand out, if i remember right i think there is a bolt under there somewhere too... i can not rember off hand, i remember it sucked getting it back in for some reason but i can not recall if that was on my bike or a customers.... i pulled mine off, shaved some of the metal stop on it, and then powdered it black to get the lean i was hoping for, super cheap and looks awesome
Just pull the pin and twist the whole set up off the frame. I didn't have any trouble. The hardest part was getting the pliers on that little clip.
I tried this mod and found that it didn't change the lean angle. I ground off about 1/4", and when I put it back on and looked under the bike, found that there was about a 1/4" space between the stopper and the frame. Had to go with a shorter kickstand to increase the lean.

After looking closer at this I see what you mean. Even if I trim the stand there is still a square looking spacer (hard to describe) made to the frame that hits the stand. Looks like it will need to be trimmed too. Can anybody reccomend where to get a lower stand? Think that will be my best bet.
The parts guy at the local dealer sold me an Arlen FREAKIN Ness kickstand that was shorter. Of course if I had known it came from that guy I would have taken a hacksaw and torch to my old one and just taken my chances.
