On my 2010 wide glide when ive been making agressive turns I've been scraping the primary cover directy under center of the derpy cover. Is there any way to help prevent me from completely destroying the primary and still take low turns?
I was putting the primary on the deck until I upgraded the suspension. I went with stock height Progressive 440's and stock height fork springs. The springs get rid of the fork dip when braking hard into a turn while maintaining a decent ride, and the 440's dont give a bit when I hammer it, even though I keep the shocks set mushy to keep my butt happy.
I dont care what the naysayers have to say about Progressive. They did an excellent job setting up the shocks and springs for my riding style. The bike may not necessarily be set up for serious hot-rodding, but I can still eat you for lunch and ask for dessert
Learn how to properly corner a street bike, watch street bike racing and you'll see those guys hanging low off the side of the bikes to counter balance while keeping the bike as upright as posible. This form allows for max tire tread contact under load.

agreed. try to lean your body more and keep the bike as upright as possible. but this technique is pretty difficult when your feet are on forwards and your hands are on apes. To the OP.. is your bike lowered?

OK, count me ignorant. How the *%#& do you corner with the bike upright at speed? Makes no sense to me.
