I am looking for suggestions on handlebars for my Dyna build. The bike was a superglide and has a riser mounted speedo with the idiot lights on it.
I am looking for some bars that can utilize that gauge setup, or have a way of mounting that setup in another way. I saw a really nice one off setup on here somewhere, but cant find it anymore. The tank will not have a dash on it, so I can even mount something under a bar if needed to make the bike flow better.
No Apes! This bike is potentially going to be my wifes bike, so the bars will have to have a low rise and a decent amount of pull back.
The factory bars were a nice fit for her, but they are bent. I would like to have them in 1 1/4", but that isnt a requirement.

I have a FXD, factory speedo mounting was integrated with top clamp. I wanted to keep stock 1" bars, but move them up and back a bit. I replaced stock short risers with 2.5" pull back risers from Drag Specialties, used Yankee Enginuity parts from Drag Specialties to get stock speedo mounted at the correct angle.

If the stock bars were a good fit why not get a set of stock bars to replace them? You know it will work with your speedo, the current cables and wiring, and most importantly it fits your wife.
Since plenty of people like me hate the stock bars on the Super Glide and swap them out, there should be some out there on ebay, Craigslist, etc. Even getting a set from a dealer won't be too expensive.
That is a last resort. I dont really want to keep the stock type bars, but if I dont find something better, I will stick with them. I would like to find the same bars in 1 1/4" as a backup
Does your wife like a wide grip, if so go with a "beach bar". If she loike the more narrow feel, then go with some 6"-9" pull backs (I don't really care for this look, but it seems to work for alot of people). Both styles will keep the height low and allow enough pull back to keep your wife from having to reach out.
You could go with the whole "Ex-Con" theme and put and give it that "outlaw" look.
Are you going to get the tags specialized to say "Ex-Con"

Any luck on bars? My wife's bike has the larger risers and it made the speedo stand straight up (yuk), and it isnt quite enough pull back for her. Any recomendations for someone about 5-7? I am assuming I will have to go tall enough that cables, brake lines and wires will need modified/ replaced?
