figured as much, i've never really had a problem with the bike running hot since i stage 1'd and dyno tuned it, but i'm sure a cooler wouldn't hurt.
they're just so damn ugly
Yeah as was said def a tool bag would hinder flow which defeats the purpose and really a oil cooler needs flow which in stop and go traffic there isnt any flow anyway.... So really I am not to into the oil cooler if I was to do one it would be the fueling cause the jag is just not my style.. But I think I am not gonna do one with the new fueling oil pump I will have better flow so I think i will be fine with that...
New Dilema.... I was really set on getting the RB racing pipe but I have been doing research on it and found a bunch of negative stuff about the pipe and there customer service over at VTWIN forum a bunch of people have had horror stories with them..... So now i dont know I am back to should I do the Fat Cat, Rinehart 2-1, SuperTrap 2-1, V&H Pro Pipe? which one should I go with is the question I really likes the look of the RB pipe but there is a pretty long wait and I am just worried about the bad reviews I keep seeing.
Anybody have some Fat Bob pics with the Fat Cat or any other 2-1???
Tough call. Most of the negatives I've read have to do with the customer service. Read mostly great things about the actual pipes. What negative things have you heard about their pipes?
Appearance wise, I think the semi gloss black ceramic looks real good. Listened to one of their 2-1 models on a 96" motor last year and I was underwhelmed by the sound. Way to quiet in my opinion. I'm guessing a built motor or one of their other 2-1 models might have sounded better.
I went with the D&D Fat Cat and it is top shelf in terms of performance and quality. I really like the way it sounds on my bike, sort of like a deep muscle car rumble. Coming from Straight Shots, it took me a while to adjust to the looks of the 2-1, but now I love it and would never go back to a 2-2.
Good luck with your decision.

I heard some bad issues with cracking, chrome peeling, LONG wait times... I was thinking of the RB racing pipe in chrome and there heat shields in black to give it some contrast.. but I also am thinking about the Fat Cat aswell the problem like you said is that I am so used to 2-2 that I cant find one damn 2-1 that I like......... I was alos thinking about the rinehart 2-1 but maybe the fat cat in black will be the ticket....

i know you said you don't want wrap but as far as 2-1 exhaust goes, fatcat in chrome with the headpipes wrapped in black up to the collector looks f*ckin *******
Little by little I've been removing some chrome parts and replacing with black. If anyone has a pic of the chrome Fatcat with black wrap up to the collector, please post up a pic.
Also, has anyone gone with black heat shields and a chrome collector?

Ok I have made my decision going with the Fat Cat I was also thinking of doing chrome can and black head pipes or wrapping the head pipes in black I found a pic of a dyna with the chrom collector and black head pipes what do you guys think?
i always thought 2-1 pipes were more industrial looking, and to me, wrap says i mean f*cking business, so the two go together. just look around at all the wrapped thunderheaders floating around the forum. and 07bobber wrapped a dd fat cat. his is black pc and he wrapped it in titanium, but it still might give you an idea of what the wrapped effect will look like.
that half black half chrome fat cat looks like crap
