Default Bike back together, now will not idle without stalling

2000 FXDX carb bike. Swapped handlebars and did a tank swap to FXDL tank. Got everything back together, and everything seems to work great. The problem I have now is the bike won't idle on it's own after everything was put back together. It runs fine when riding, but at idle acts as if it is fuel starved. I have to give it a tiny bit of throttle to keep it running, if I let off the throttle for a few seconds it starts chugging as if you were to shut the petcock off, roll on slightly and all is well.

I am sure the throttle cables need adjusted after everything came apart, would this cause this issue? Also, there is only about 1 gallon of fuel in the tank, it is fresh 93 octane. Any help is appreciated, if I can't figure it out I will be taking it in to an indy to have them give it a go

Adjust the idle screw on the carb.

Thanks, I was thinking that but didn't know how it would be affected since I didn't mess with the carb at all. Oh well, I will give it a try

Don't adjust the carb until you get the cables adjusted. If the carb was running fine before you did the work, only fix what you changed.

If you adjusted the carb, you are just screwwing things up even more. Put the carb back where it was, and get the cables adjusted to where it idles correctly.

My thoughts exactly. Adjust the carb, then adjust the freeplay in the cables.
