glad to know the stator is such an easy change . I know of tons of guys whose stators have blown out aka fried on the road. thanks for the post.

one addition i have a 99 fxd don't know what differences there are but it wasn't necessary to remove the inner primary cover

The 07's and up (maybe 06 also) have a cast aluminum inner primary with a lip that prevents you from pulling the rotor off. I put in a SE compensator this week and used a grinder to remove the lip so I didn't need to remove the inner primary. There is a thread in the touring section that shows how to do it, step by step, in case anyone is interested.

The aim clutch hub was brought to my attention by mud in one of his write ups about his 121" headquarters build. It puts more pressure on the clutch the faster it spins. Found mine listed on ebay.
