Well I called fuel moto today. I get a half hour lunch and was on hold for 25 mins. So I hung up. By the time I got home they were closed. I installed the PCV with the help of a friend that has over 30-40 years experience with harleys. We installed it per the instructions. I have seen where this must be kinda common with the water when I talked to 3 different shops about it and they all heard about it. All 3 recommended 3 different tuners lol go figure. Lol I have put the dielectric grease on it when I reinstalled it the last time. I was just curious if the water would have messed the pc map up or not. I have looked at the pv as well. Has anyone dealt with fuel moto as far as returning a PCV with some kind of discount towards the pv?
09, I now read your problem and the only thoughts I can offer are it does take a few miles for these units to adjust to each other (as I was tod by the Dyno Jet tech). I had the decel problems and had to go into the unit and adjust the fuel/air ratios probably three or four times before I finally got it correct, and now the bike could not be running better, jmo. My only suggestion is to try and adjust these areas and see if it helps. The Dyno jet guy's are a lot of help walking you through these steps.....Good Luck
cool thanks for the info. i will try to get ahold of them as well. to everyone, i really appreciate your help and input. i am pretty sure the exhaust flange nuts are tight, because i didnt get any popping while riding without the pcv on. so, if the exhaust flange nut was loose, i would have gotten popping even if the pcv was not installed correct?
Finally got ahold of fuel moto today. Talked to Brian. Bad news first, I can't trade the PCV for any discount on a pv anyways, he seems to think that I need to change one of the values on my map. I was at work when I talked to him and by the time I got home, they were closed. He said he would walk me through the entire process with changing the map and stuff. I'm sure it isn't to hard, but since I haven't done it before, I will be more than happy to let him help lol so my fingers are crossed. Hope this fixes the prob. I really don't want to spend the $800 it cost for the SERT right now.

Did you happen to ask how this could be since it did not do this before riding in the rain and you made no changes to the MAP?
Yes, he thinks the a/c is getting more air since I changed the cover. I told him that I had done that prior to the rain incident and it wasn't popping. Then I got the usual "well it took awhile for it to adjust" or something to that nature. I was at work and didn't have alot of time to make the call.
Check one other thing before you go thru any other misery.Pull your ecm connectors apart. You want to see under the the board that the pins come thru. You may have a bunch of green slimey corrosion under the board. It is hard to clean, you'll have to use spray electrical contact cleaner and a pick or tiny brush to clean it up. Once you get it clean use plenty of dielectric grease and tape that sob up to the point that no water can get to it.
Five hundred miles of rain and a barely running bike and then a month of sorting out problems taught me this. Of course this may not be your problem but it is worth checking.

Why don't you talk to the Dynojet tech support folks? They are on PST (Pacific time). They are 3 hours behind you and you should be able to get help after you get home from work. They made the product and are knowledgeable. That is just a suggestion.
