That is why the MoCo requires it set that way, if you ever have the dealer service your bike and they have to play with the throttle, they will most likely adjust back to this loose feeling.
When I took mine in for a warranty repair a few years back, they set mine back to factory specs and I never asked them to even look at the throttle setup.
