I agree TheAlaskan...I didnt intend the comment to be a slam. I've posted things on here before and read them the next day ugh....
I also don't think the accessories are worthwhile, but there seems to be a lot of folks who love it! I also think a lot of Dyna owners will be eyeballing some of its parts for their bike....it definitely will have some potential in that aspect

Delete the chrome (expensive) on the motor, add the bags and windshield, oh yea, and the running boards... swap one FL front end for a Dyna front end (at the factory) and charge an extra 3 thou. Good idea!
i like mine traded my 06 bob for it , got a good stripped all the stuff i wanted off it first , saved for the fld , i ride it stripped or attached , takes 3 min.s and no hassle, took it to Maggie Valley, and the cheraola this past weekend, torque like frieght train, carried enough for 3 days in the saddle bag as well as 1000 k service ( except for pan and fluids) changed those in the lot at a Autozone).. peace

FXDP Defender has floorboards w/out the "FL" designation, which are affixed at the mid-mounted location. Last year for the Defender, had it since 2006.
I went to the harley site to compare the switch back to the road king. The king weighs 100 lbs more and sits just an inch higher carries an extra gallon of gas has an oil cooler and HAS CRUISE CONTROL! just 1800 bucks more if you're going to spend the money on a harley touring bike buy a touring bike. like my old man used to say before he left this shitty world "Boy, you can nail apples to a telephone pole but that doesn't make it an apple tree." i can't believe i read this stupid floor board on a dyna thread
