Default 7/8" controls instead of 1"

I was wondering if any of you use 7/8" controls? I have risers with a set of protapers, but have a small sleeve to adapt to the 1" Harley controls. I've heard of people using Buell controls, but can't seem to find much info on that or any other alternative. Anything to share on the subject? Thanks.

Looking forward to this answer. I was looking at similar bars, but the 1" size requirement has me leaning to the Biltwell trackers. Any pics of the bike with the pro tapers?

Never mind. I remember when you posted the new bars and flipped the gauges. What sleeves did you use to make the 1" controls work on the 7/8" bar? I want to expand my options if possible. I'm going in a different direction though with only 1.7" risers. More of an aggressive stance. If I don't like it, I can always change the risers. Your set up looks really good.

If you're making it yourself, you could just buy 1/8" tubing and hold it in place with a pin straight through.

Can someone tell me how to get in touch with forbidden motorcycles? I called their number online and emailed them through their website...

I want to order the pro taper package for my fxdx that Jaypee speaks of.

Please PM me. thanks!

I went ahead and used the bars from a Nightrod special. You can get them in black or chrome. I don't remember the exact specs, but I think they were 30.5" wide 3.5" rise and 3" pull back. I could have the pullback and rise backwards or a little off, but they were in the 3" range each. Very similar to the Biltwell trackers, but a little more pullback which I wanted. The chrome ones were only around $50 and the black ones were $70+ if I remember correctly.

Jimmy uses Gorilla Glue and a roll pin to hold on the sleeves. If you have an older set the sleeves are steel and the newer ones are aluminum. I couldn't be happier with my set up from him. Not sure why you'd want to use 7/8" controls other than they probably perform better than the stock crap.
