My new to me 08 FXDC had standard forwards on it when I bought it. I also have a 30" inseam. I rode a sportster with stock forwards and was comfortable but I think the added width of the dyna make the forward controls feel farther away. If I was buying new I would more than likely buy the reduced reach. I may end up buying the adapter set up.

Thanks, Andy - perfect info for me! I think the Dyna is longer as well as wider so combined I'm sure they feel further out than your Sporty. That said, I could handle the sporty's being a bit further out, so it's still a toss up for me but I'm leaning more and more for the reach.

P.S. Gotta love the MoCo - the reach versions are $30-50 more than the standard. Inseam discrimination, I tell ya!!!

I do ok in town but on the highway when the wind pushes me back my feet slide down the pegs a little. Just enough to make me want to change it. I am looking forward to see what you guys do and how you like it.
