i have 05 wideglide and put the 11inch prog on and when they installed them they set it on 1 firs bump in road i thought my back broke, and bike was going to be cut in half, was ready to go back and tell them to take off, but he set it on 3 and rides alot like stock when wife is on i crank her to a 5, i am now going with racetech 1 inch lowering springs on front to level out bike plus suppose to really help handling, bike looks so much better lowered, and once i get front done it should look even better
Stock shock is 12.6 inches. The H/D lowering shocks are 11.6 inches (this is a factory Lowrodier shock).
The lowest you can get away with is 11 inches, for a 1.6 inch drop. That's what I have.

O5 #s, right Joe?? 06 - different figures.
mud
Hey Mud....been awhile, bike looks GREAT!
The figures I stated are for the '05 and earlier. I do know when the '06's first came out, a guy I know bought a lowrider for his wife, but she is a small girl.[&:] He tried to put the shocks that were made for the earlier model DYNA's , and they fit right on! no problem, and she looks like a taildragger! Short little lady, around 5'2-5-3' and canride it no problem!
HIGHLY recommend doing this! Onoly problem is that the stock kick(jiffy) stand makes the bike sit too upright and can fall over if you park it the wrong direction on a grade, i.e. make sure it's weight is facing down towards the kickstand. I have tried heating my kickstand with MAPP Gas while pulling onthe bike, letting it use it's weight to bend the kick stand a little....It worked somewhat.....most guys just take them off and put them in a hydralic bender and tweak it a little or buy a 1 inch under kick stand from the MOCO....
I lowered mine 1.5" and fixed the jiffy stand by grinding some of the stop off the the of the stand arm so it would lean over more. Get under the bike and you will see what I'm talking about. Dave...
