I just know that there is not a California and a 49 State Model starting with the 2010 model year. All are 50 State models. So if one has it, all have. If others don't, all don't.
Pretty sure the paperwork I signed when I ordered and picked up my '12 FXDC said "49 State"
Yup - just verified my buyers offer and it says "49 State FXDC with H49S"

Check out the Harley site and look up a 2012 bike then look at the pricing. It is $200 extra for a California emissions bike.

I actually have an 09 FXD which I bought used in NJ in 2010.... it has the California Emmisions cannister. There is also a kit/parts that can be used to remove the charcoal cannister.... it is my understanding that the Charcoal Cannister is only required in CA. I may or may not remove it..

If I had a Dyna id remove that ugly thing in a heartbeat. Would save it though. We dont have inspections or smog's on bikes. Too bad Ca crap is invading the rest of the country.
