U-tube clip of dude doing an Audi - informative in technique ideas - he uses a gun, but it's nice to see the stuff in action. I wonder if even spokes could be done this way. Of course, lots more detailed taping off with all the exposed parts, but I found it a good starter point. Also, the plasti-color website has a Gun Metal color that looks good, and another color (can't remember the name) that starts off grey-ish and you can tailor how dark it gets with more coats.
A good friend of mine did his A7 with their kit. the spray gun acted funny, and came out looking like a black tennis ball. make sure your gun is quality if you are going to do it this way.
Just tried the stuff on my FXDXT-LOOKED AWSOME! Then i accidentally rubbed my fairing against lower legs and headlight ring when re-installing. Scratched right away. Is this normal? How long should it take to fully harden? I am really bummed....
It will be somewhat soft for a couple days, Then it will be like a protective rubber boot and is quite tough.......unless you don't have enough coats.....i use 4 coats

I did a helmet last night.. my first time playing with the stuff. It came out pretty good, but I pulled a bit off when I pulled the masking tape. I just read on this thread to take the tape off when it's still slightly wet and I'm not sure how this works with multiple coats.
I did 4 coats, waiting about 15 minutes in between for it to dry. By the time I got to the last coat, the bottom coats were dry. How do I take the tape off?
You can do 2 coats .......pull tape..........re tape ...2 more coats........or all 4 coats and run a exacto knife at the tape before you pull it

Sorry for the dumb question.
I find if i do say 1 real light coat, 2 normal, and the last coating a little heavier you can peel on that one without much problem.
