2.5 qts brings mine to 1/2 way on the cold check and full on the hot

There is a stopper between the filter and the pan. that tube contains almost half a quart. Only way i know to get rid of that dirty oil isby running the starter without spark plugs.The dirty oil comes out absent the filter, you stop when you see clean oil, and your ready to add the rest of the last (almost half a quart).

On the original change, I did use a turkey baster, oddly enough, to remove the extra oil. It just seems funny that an engine that develops that much heat doesn't hold a little more oil. Hell, my Sporty takes 3 qts. Thinking of adding an oil cooler just to up the capacity. Down here you need all the cooling you can get in the summer.
