Thanks boys!
Yeah, I love they way you've got em tucked behind the fairing, too!
Flipping the mount tank side of the risers is an option. Risers'll be plenty tall... I'm thinking 12 or 14". Running 9's now.
I like the windshield. It is actually az 14" screen which I believe is 2" shorter than the stock screen. It is SOLID black. Next time I'll get tinted as I cannot tuck behind it and see anything. I did not think about that until I was on the freeway.
From everyone I talk to about flipping the gauges there is some sort of tab you have to grind off on the bracket or something. I am yet to so it so I don't know anymore than that. The only way I will move my gauges is if I get some WarGassers. Basically, they will custom make the exactly as you like. My buddy had his bars made super narrow for lane splitting, I think 14" or so.
All I am doing is working on making what I have in hand to work with this setup. Here are the standoff pieces I am going to attach to the fender and the lower rear of the bags for extra support. Does anyone know what size the thread is on the attachment on the rear fender? I was thinking 1/4 20? I will try to get this part done to day after work so the bags are better supported at the bottom than they are now although there has not been an issue as of yet. I'll post pics once they are on. These were on the bike with the throw over bags that were on it when I bought it so I have no idea where they came from.
Those saddleman bags look nice but at 9" wide plus mounting hardware, won't they stick out far? Can't wait to see pix on someone's bike....
Yeah, I just realized how crazy wide they are, it is making me hesitate on them now. I think they will look awkward on my bike, I gotta figure out what bags to get pretty soon, taking a 6 day 1500 mile trip before the end of the summer.
Being on my second set of bags, All I can say it is personal choice but I like my VROD bags much better than ay of the aftermarket bags. It seems that most of the aftermarket ones don't really fit with the lines of the bike very well. Just my humble opinion.
