Front wheel is on! I just took it for it's maiden voyage. The 21" definitely steers a little bit slower than the 19 although the 10mm less in width is not noticeable. I only took a short trip down to the dealer to pick up some parts but this weekend I will have time to break it in and have more feedback regarding my choices of wheel size and such.
I also talked to Howard from Motorcycle Metal this morning about getting my shocks dialed in and he gave me very specific instructions on what to do. 16 clicks on each rebound adjuster, 3 turns and 3 lines on low compression and high speed compression all the way in for now. I set it up like this and it seemed to ride great although there iss till so much more that I need to learn in order to be able to understand this suspension completely. My ride in this morning was great as the suspension really seemed to soak up all of the bumps that I normally am used to on the route. I am already thoroughly impressed not only with the shocks but the service that Howard provides as he takes the time to explain everything about the shock and how the settings will impact the other settings, the ride, and such.
Once the rear is dialed in will hopefully have the knowledge to appropriately dial int eh front end to match the rear. No pics of the wheel yet as the bike needs a good cleaning after part of the install process involved a little grinding and shavings went everywhere so y'all are going to have to wait a bit.
What spring rate did you end up with from race tech? Apparently the .95kg springs are on back order at the moment. Im thinking of going with the .90 and just making a larger preload spacer. Or buying traxxion springs instead. Whats your take?
hey man anyway u could take a side pic of it with one of the bags off? im seriously considering pulling the trigger on these but wanna see how much it lifts the rear of the bike. thx in advance!
I'm looking for the part number for the 3 pin plug for the tail light circuit board, it is not used on our bikes but I want to use it for running lights, HD was no help and it is not listed in my parts manual?
