Still waiting on the front wheel back. I ordered up some JRI 14" shocks from Howard at Motorcycle Metal which I am hoping are here by Friday although it may rain this weekend regardless. I am wondering what will be next after all this. I think the motor will be taken for fixing. I also ordered my oil pressure gauge which will get here when it gets here.
I guess all that will be left after ensuring the motor is tip top and nor leaking will be True Track or Sputhe, and a fork brace. We'll see what transpires in the week to come but I am hoping to have the front wheel and shocks on Friday although when I make plans someone out there is always laughing. Oh, I need to get an HID as well. One of these weeks I'll figure out which one to get. JRK, if you are reading this can you post links for me please. I want to put the ballast under the seat like you suggested so I guess i will need the extension as well. That seems the best way to do this on a Dyna. I don't want to have to hide my ballast in the fairing somewhere. It's gray and rainy here today so it's a car day. It sure is a lot warmer in the car at 5:30 am. I might actually have to invest in a heated vest liner as the cold is getting to me in my old age. If it is for or related to a motorcycle, I will most likely end up buying it eventually.
The waiting continues. The shocks will be in tomorrow and hopefully the rain will take a few days off so I can get them on and take a few rides prior to the next storm. As far as my wheel, I have no idea how long it will be until it is back and ready to mount but I am hoping sooner rather than later. As long as it is clear here on Saturday I will be heading down to Conely's for a motor fix.
Who knows with all the rain we have been getting lately. Regardless, I realized there are still to of things to do to this bike to get it perfect for me.
Because I don't have $2000 to spend on it and I love my front end that I just powder coated and added new springs and gold valves to. Christmas is here if you want to help me out. .
Hey I was hoping that you would see the humor in it, seeing how it's close to Christmas. I've been following this thread for a long time. You've made some great changes to your T-Sport. I for one enjoy just marveling at them.
Yeah, I do see the humor in it. I answered early this morning. It seems I was a bit gruff. I already bought all my Christmas stuff for this year. LOL. New shocks coming tomorrow. via Motorcycle Metal.
So my shocks came in yesterday. I will see if i can get them on the bike today and take a spin after getting them properly set up. Can't find my shock wrench is the bummer. Here is what they look like.
JRI 14" piggy back reservoir shocks from Motorcycle Metal.
Someone was asking about fork boots...mine are for a Kawolski 650; the retro model they had a few years ago; it also has 39mm forks. They also have screw on clamps; seprate PN
The fork brace is from Italy...very slim; I "shaped" it to fit the fender top
Thanks Sharkey, I know exactly which Kawi you speak of.
Those shocks look on point and I look forward to hearing your feedback on them. You can spin the entire spring and collar by hand usually to adjust the preload. I never use a wrench on any of my shocks. I assume you will be running the reserviors facing forward to clear the bags?
