I appreciate all the responses guys, plenty of ways to make power.
I spoke with fuel moto today about the 107" kit, and all in all its a hell of a deal for $1300. They said even with stock heads they are seeing an easy 105hp out of their builds with mild tuning. That being said I still have not discounted building the 96" up a bit.
I'm going to call Big Boyz and see what they could do for some head work. Bumped compression, port job and valves, and some good cams is still a relatively "cheap" build that should rev pretty damn quick. Not saying the 107" wouldn't either though....
I ordered the PC V from fuel moto with a tune written for my thunderheader- high flow A/c ( pretty basic, but hey, they had a tune).
Off subject on the motor build, I need to raise this bike up. These lowering shocks suck (11" progressives), I have already scraped my pipe and 2 up riding is less than stellar. Wanting 13" or 13.5" shocks, question is will I need to go to 2" over fork tubes?
I ran the 11" shocks for a looong time, I went back to the 12" full covered fatbob shocks. they made a hell of a differnce!! to answer your question about the 2" over tubes i do not think they would be needed. but to be safe call whatever shock manufacturer and talk to them about it. There are plenty of people running 13" shocks and stock length forks.
