Thanks for the info. I still went ahead and ordered the PCV and big sucker this morning from Fuel moto. The state of the plugs worried me too much to leave it like it was. I guess i'll find out if these additions will make more problems then they solve.
I spotted a pair of 09 fat bob head pipes on ebay for 40 bucks. I wonder if it would be worth it to pick them up seeing how, as far as a i know, the 09 FB had no cat...Am I wrong?

you are correct, the '09 has open head pipes. The 2.00" baffle is the most popular size on a '09 fatbob. Tuning will most likely be required (definitely recommended) with open head pipes, slipons, and a high flow air filter.

Ryan - I have an '09 Fat Bob with the 1.75" baffles, no engine mods and a stock (Crossbones) air cleaner. I like the sound, but would like a little more volume.
I spoke with Adam (at Rush) the other day about the 1.75 Crossover system that you offer...he then suggested that I try the 2" baffles in my slip ons.
With that said, will I need to get a tune by just changing to the 2" baffle and how much louder might if be than the 1.75" baffles that I have on there?
Also - your thoughts on the sound/performance of the Crossover system vs. the 1.75" and 2" baffles?
You should not have to get a tune if you only change to the 2" baffles. Many of our customers ride stock bikes with 2" baffle slip ons and no tuning is required for their bikes to maintain the stock air/fuel ratio. It's a popular setup. The 2.00" baffles are about 3 db louder than the 1.75". If there are two bikes next two each other you will definitely be able to tell which is which. I like to describe it as one noticeable step louder.
The crossover system is our best performing system besides the 2:1. It has a very aggressive sound but not as deep of a tone as the slip-ons. I still think it's a deeper tone than any short full systems I've heard. Tuning is required with the crossover system. The 1.75" and 2.0" baffles are very similar in performance. You'll see a small change on a dyno sheet but realistically you probably won't notice any change when riding. A good tune will have more of an effect on performance than the baffle size change. I really like the deep sound of slip ons and our crossover system will get you the closest to that out of our selections of full systems.... except the 2:1. That system produces impressive performance gains and still has a deep aggressive note.
Just keep in mind you'll want to tune the bike after any full system upgrade. It's always recommended with slip ons as well but with the correct baffle size it's not always required.

Thanks Ryan...the main reason I was asking about the Crossover system is when I was down at Bike Week in Daytona this year, I stopped by the Rush vendor display/set up and heard the 1.75 system on a Wide Glide (I think) that was there. The rep told me that I would NOT have to do a tune to the motor and it would basically bolt on without any issues.
So, now I'm confused...just trying to avoid the tune at this point.

It sounds like there was some confusion about slip-on baffle sizes and cross over system baffles when you originally talked to a tech. I'll do my best to explain. You can also call in and speak directly with me.
I am confident in suggesting our slip-ons with the 1.75" baffles and no tuning required. Once you get to the slip-ons with 2.0" baffles it's on the line. Most do not require tuning with the 2.0" baffle in a slip-on but I can't guarantee that. Please keep in mind that even if tuning is not required for proper operation we recommend it with any exhaust or intake changes. I recommend tuning with the cross over system and it most likely will be required for proper operation.
I really can't guarantee no tuning with any upgrades from your current setup.
