I really like the simpson outlaw as well. Everything I have read says its loud, doesn't vent well and has poor visibility compared to other model helmets. That's what made me look else where. I do like the design though.
yea i agree they look awesome. i had a boxer a long time ago and it was a great helmet. big tho as is my bell evo revolver. i gotta get out and try a few more on.
icon here ,second one. great venting on hot days. inner liner is removable and washable. shields are easy to take off. I would recommend icon to anyone looking for a new lid.
i am looking at getting another FF for this season. either simpson outlaw, roof boxer, icon airframe, or bell rs1.
all ready have a bell evo revolver
simpson looks bad *** but doesn't seem to have much for air vents. anyone rocking this helmet have input on this??
I have the Simpson, and it is noisier than say a Shoei, but then again what isn't... Visibility is good for me. Venting is interesting, if my head gets hot, all I do is tilt my head just a little forward while riding and cool blast of air runs up from the back of your neck onto your head... I live is southeast Texas so you know it gets hot here...
The only real beef I have with the Simpson is a lack of an excess strap holder... I put two O-rings on the strap that I can feed the excess strap back through once the helmet is tightened. Works fairly well
The matte black finish has gotten sticky recently; I probably got Plexus on it while cleaning the screen
