Alright guys, I've got an '06 Super Glide and I need some help. Whenever I'm holding steady somewhere between 30-45ish mph it feels like the bike is traveling through glue at times. I can feel very minor decel blips even though the throttle is not moving. It's like a blast of wind from the front keeps slowing me down.
Is it not receiving a steady fuel supply? Something else?
The bike never boggs down or shuts off, and idles perfect. Thanks for your help.
What's your intake/exhaust? Do you have any sort of EFI management device such as a Power Commander? Do you know if it has the H-D Stage 1 download?
If you have a free-flowing intake and exhaust, the stock ECM fuel map is probably running the bike too lean and it's not getting the right air/fuel mixture at higher throttle settings.
I'm not sure what your experience is with such things, or how long you've had the bike, so we'll have some questions first.
Bought the bike with big radius 2-2 pipes, fuelpak, stage 1 and air filter. Since then I purchased and mounted stock headers and mufflers (waiting on some rush slip-ons) and removed the fuelpak.
I spoke the a few harley mechanics and I told them my plan (stock headers, slip-ons for a quieter ride with less popping) and asked them if i needed the stock ecm downloaded. They told me "no" as long as I kept the air filter. I plan on putting the fuelpak back on once the mufflers arrive, just didn't want to run too rich until then.
No change since doing all this.
My experience is low, but i did do a pretty good job putting my first exhaust on. No leaks that I can tell. Decel popping and occasional backfire is gone.

If after changing that equipment there's no difference it might not be the tune. You say it's from 30-45 mph at steady throttle. What gear are you in/what are the rpms you're seeing?

Sounds like it could still have 8 degree fuel injectors, 06 is the only year that came with them. Lot's of people have problems with them, the fix is to upgrade the injectors to 25 degree injectors, that's what the moco did to fix the problem. Let them know whats going on and hopefully they will help you out with the injector upgrade, also make sure they reflash your ecm to work properly with the 25 degree injectors.

Sometimes I'm in 3rd and sometimes 4th. I've tried at various ranges of rpm (closer to 45mph in 3rd and 35mph in 4th) and no change.
Squirrel's suggestion sounds right. I did a search on the forums and
