Blacked out tail light lens....

I got a crack in my tail light lens and it started leaking water so I had to get another lens, found a used one at a local indy shop. I had my last one blacked out and like the way it looked so I did this one and came out good.

thats **** looks sick bro.. Did you have to scuff the plastic before paint? Or did you just tape it up and paint it? I want to do this for my dyna is why I'm asking ?

I used a fine steel wool and dulled the the plastic where it was not taped off.

I used appliance epoxy paint.

I've used plasti-dip on my bike and really like it. How is the appliance epoxy paint? Is it easy to use cause I'm no painter but do well with the plasti-dip but it seems to be fool proof meaning how it lays.

I have used the epoxy paint since I got the bike in 07 for and thing I wanted to turn black. It is durable and matches the gloss black paint very well. There are two things I have found with the paint, on chrome scuff it well or the paint will flake eventually. When applying dust the paint on slow and get the desired coverage with the first application, because every time I have tried tow do multiple coats it reacts with the first creating bad orange peal.
