Heated grips?
Heated Grips don't heat up instantly like the new gloves do. The inside the bar Polly-Heaters that I have take a minute or two to come up to temp. The Directly heated grips that I had on a BMW (that I owned once) came up to temp in about 30 seconds. Because heated grips can take time to come up top temp, they can also wind up getting just a bit too warm . . . . if you don't pay attention to them
Installing Heated Grips takes more technical work than putting on a pair of gloves. Said technical work either has to be done by you or you have to pay someone else to do it for you.
However . . . I always used to think that Heated Grips were kind of silly. BUT, once I had a bike with Heated Grips . . . I am now a believer. For really cold stuff I also have a pair of heated gloves. But down to about 40-45*F a good set of unheated gloves and Heated Grips make it all OK.
Has anyone installed the polly's and where did you put the fugly switch?
