V INERR Error Code on Start-up
Get this error code sometimes on start up...
It's a 2012 Wide Glide...
5300 miles and it just got a new voltage regulator. It wasn't on the recall list, but they swapped it out anyway...
There have been some other threads on this, but I've not really gotten a good idea of what it may be caused by.
Any thoughts?

off the top of my head its a low voltage warning mine does the same thing ( i dont get a warning but i see it drop on the dakota speedo).

I think what your seeing is a gauge malfunction. It is not an error code (Diagnostic Trouble Code - DTC). DTCs are in the format of a single letter (or SP in the case of the speedometer) followed by 4 digits.
I'd bet if you retrieve the codes you'll probably find a SPxxxx in there.

This bike is completely stock except fort the SE Slip on Exhaust...
I have the service manual, but can't find this anywhere... I have a parts catalog. different than a parts manual? I'll look in to getting one...
After this one happened, I looked through the fault codes, and it shows no fault codes at all...
I'll be looking to have the battery load tested this week to see if maybe the batter has failed...

It's the Electrical Diagnostic Manual that has all the DTCs in it. When your chasing electrical issues that's the manual you need.
With all the preaching on this forum about the importance of having a Service Manual, I'm surprised the Electrical Diagnostic Manual is rarely mentioned.
I've bought two new Harley's in my lifetime and for both of them the Service Manual, the Electrical Diagnostic Manual, and the Parts Catalog were negotiated into the deal. After you make the best deal you can and your ready to sign, simply say "oh yeah, one more thing - I need those three manuals". There not going to lose your deal over those. Works everytime. Even on the new cars I've purchased.

Took her in to the dealership to have the battery checked...
Even though watching the battery voltage with a meter, (would dip down to ~9VDC) on a start up, I had them check the battery.
It was determined that the batter had 89 Cold Cranking Amps. It's supposed to have 400 CCAs.
They replaced the battery (under warrenty) and for now she seems to be starting normal.
For now I'll consider this a fix but will update further if the problem comes back...
