Mids vs Forwards..
Was thinking of putting forwards on my 2012 FXDC but decided to stick with the mids and hwy pegs becouse I really like being able to move my feet to different spots. I do use the hwy pegs more often but now I just shift and apply rear brake with my heels. Also thought of leaving mid pegs and adding forwards but decided I then would have to use forwards to brake and shift and since I can do both from hwy pegs decided to stick with what I have.
I bought my wide glide used and it came with forwards. Around town they are ok but over 60 mph they suck. My pants constantly blow up my leg and the wind is constantly pushing my legs out and after a day of riding my legs are worn out from fighting the wind. I'm 6'2 and mids are more comfortable to me at higher speeds. Maybe it's cause I grew up on dirt bikes that I'm more partial, but the constant wind trying to blow my legs off the pegs gets old. Hope this helps.
