Could you just splice in to B and togle power on and off to the ignition switch? Then file the nub off the key, so if you want the extra security, you can turn off the ignition switch with the key, and if not just leave the switch in the on position keep your key in your pocket or wherever and use the toggle switch.
I don't see why not. I mainly put this together to help show why a person can't use the Run/Stop switch. Putting a toggle in that path would only supply power to the one system. But, putting a toggle in the path between the battery and the ignition seems to be fine. Guess it up to the owner if they want to file the key down to do this. The only disadvantage to that way is that everyone (mechanics and whoever) will know there is a hidden switch on the bike because the ignition is already on. The way the OP has done it lets you drop it off to be worked on for whatever reason, the shop would still use the key like normal and have not knowledge of the shortcut the owner installed to power there bike without the use of the key.
