Default T-Bars and long distance riding.

I'm really liking the looks of 10"/12" T-Bars with a quarter fairing on the Super Glide. I'm wondering about comfort on long ride s. I ride from West Michigan to Chicago to see family quite a bit along with a one or two longer rides. Those of you riding with the T-Bars find any discomfort on longer rides. Thanks.

depends on the type of t-bar. straight up and across or with pullback? anything that has you leaning forward is not going to be comfortable for long distances....

I don't like T Bars for long distance because it puts a twist in your shoulders. I use High Westerns which aren't very gangster but are supremely comfortable :-)

I have 12 inch T's w/4 inch pull back and I really like them. Did 2600 mi trip to Sturgis and other places last year and no problems or soreness.

not sure how far the distance your talkin about is, but i've got 8" risers with MX style bars, which brings the total height to between 10-11". I've done 500 miles in a day several times, and have no complaints or discomfort, my hands end up about an inch below my shoulders

the other thing you have to take into consideration, is that even though you may possibly get straight risers or t-bars, the taller you get, the closer to you they will be because of the rake of the front end. so say you take 8" tall bars vs 12" tall bars, the 12s will end up being slightly closer to you than the shorter ones cause the rake of bike. the straight risers dont go straight vertical, they follow the angle of the trees. If you had a WG, you would notice this even more because they have even more rake than the rest of the Dyna family... random bit of information, but possibly something you hadn't thought of

I never say no to info. The way those bars follow the front end is one of the things I like about them.
