Mine does not have flames. I just received it a week ago
I found it really odd that all their seats now come with flames. Sounds like they sent the OP a "special order" that went bad for someone else and then fed him a line of Bull. I hope the OP finds a way to come out on top.
Guys just to reiterate about the stitching more clearly....
I ordered and specified a plain black leather seat with no stitching. They sent a flame stitched seat. I didn't want that. That is Corbin's plain seat (to them).
Their stock seats are flames, and it's the flame seats they keep stock on. . You can get different stitch patterns but have to ask and there is a few week wait.
You would think that it's a custom thing but it's not. It's just what they think people want and have lots of them already made they need to get rid of.
Just to reiterate on what I and others said earlier.
Call your credit card company and Initiate a chargeback on the purchase. Tell the CC Company that the item you received was not what you ordered and they sent you the wrong item and they refuse to take it back and said they will refuse shipment if returned. They will in most cases credit back your account at once and send Corbin a chargeback letter that they have to supply information proving they shipped the correct item. In 90% of cases the credit card company sides with the consumer. Corbin can then accept the seat back or fight the chargeback.
I handle the few chargebacks we receive at our company and they are time consuming. Again if nothing else make them earn the $499 but I would be surprised if the CC Company doesn't get your money back plus too many chargebacks and the CC companies will shut them off from accepting cards. You got nothing to lose by doing this.
Also if Corbin calls you about the chargeback don't talk to them. You are under no obligation to discuss the chargeback with them. Make them deal with the CC Company.

I heard about their crappy service over 10 years ago and a phone call revealed a bit of attitude so I ordered the seat from Dennis Kirk; they went to the warehouse shelf and brought the seat to the phone to confirm some questions I had; then I bought from them...excellent seat BTW; just can't deal with the manufacturer very easy forever it seems.
BTW; when an entity is for sale it isn't always "for sale". Sometimes it's just a ruse to keep the banks at bay; I've seen it before...
Corbin has had a poor reputation for WELL over a decade that I know of. From at least the late 90s that I can remember. I wouldn't take a Corbin seat if it were given to me.
I just bought a Corbin Gunfighter for my FXR a few months back, and the transaction went smooth. I got exactly what I ordered, in a very reasonable amount of time.
I guess my experience was a bit different from everyone else's here.
Best of luck with the dispute. I built a bike in late '93 for a bike show that was coming up in a few months. I was told the seat would be done in plenty of time. Called and called as the weeks went by and still no seat. The people on the other end of the phone had me so mad I was ready to drive there. I was finally told it was done and I ended up having to pay extra shipping to get the seat on time. I took the bike to the show and got all set up. UPS dropped it off that morning and my girlfriend at the time brought the seat to me at the local convention center. I opened the box and the seat and the flames on the seat were the wrong freakin colors!!! Good thing I had a back up seat because that thing looked bad. I see things haven't changed much.
Man, this sucks! I would be every bit as pissed as you. I was considering buying their hollywood solo. With flames even. But now I really don't think I will. Poor customer service, or in your case disrespectful service, pisses me off. I can't see taking the chance with seats costing that much!
