2014 Fat Bob

My woman loves it, and I'll admit it looks better in person than the website. ( I recently sold my 2013 Fatbob, partially because I didn't think it looked nearly as good as it rode. )
The paint has a nice small flake to it, and I like that the old leather bib is gone. Adding black to the front end was also a good improvement. The seat looks nice, although it made me feel considerably higher than the last seat. The previous generation reminded me of how softtails feel, like you are sitting "in" them, but this is very much a perched feeling.
I like the wheels, and I like the tank. Again, the fender isn't as bad in person but it's still strange. Pipes aren't bad.
I very much dislike the shocks, air cleaner, and general use of chrome. If it were all blacked out, I imagine it would look quite different.
I'll say my FXDF was a great riding bike. One thought I had was with this bike, other than adding black, is there wouldn't be any aftermarket options. I can't image any different bars or pipes that would match the looks. I'd call it as European sporty influence? Actually, when speaking of a harley, that sounds terrible...
Although they still have the 883R, which I'd love to get back.
I like the sand paint and the tank stripe. I concur with Bez, if all the metal were black it might look pretty cool, even with the tail light. The Fat Bob has always been the "euro" style Harley.
I do wish they'd add the Fat Bob to the factory custom program. I'd like to have a Fat Bob with mid-controls.
The more I see the 2014 the more I like it! With a few mods it could really be bad ***!

Seriously, when you just black out the rings around the headlights, it looks like eyeliner to me.
As for the rest of it. The battery box looks weird. It's old school vintage, which clashed with the modern fender.
I agree with others, if you're going to use that fender, the bullet lights have to go. This was definitely a styling design made by committee.
With that said, I love the new blacked out wheels. Awesome.
