Default Speedo back light?

New guy here, with a question of course. Has anybody figured out the connection between the speedometer back lamp staying on when the bike is shut down? Came back from work last nite, have not rode the bike for a few days, speedo back lite is on??? Searched the forums last nite and saw a few posts about this oddity, but no fix. I did see a post where if you grab the front brake lever it goes out. It does work. Scratching head over what the connection between the two is. Any thoughts?
2011 Street Bob is the bike.

You might have read one of my post. I had the same trouble a month ago or so. Here when I gave the bike a cleaning after a trip in the rain I mush have got some water in where it did not belong. I got a can of electrial contact cleaner and sprayed my hand control switches and ing switch and the fuse panel. That took care of my problem. Has not done it since. Give this a try

Thanks Clap, Last thing I did before I parked it was stop at the car wash and clean it. Been raining alot here and the old boy was pretty dirty. Musta got some water where it wasn't supposed to be. Very strange the way the speedo lamp is affected by that. I will try the contact cleaner.
Thanks

When you spray the contact cleaner you have to open up the hand controls and the ing switch I just sprayed it in the key hole. In the fuse panel I pulled all the fuses and sprayed the panel and then put dielectric grease on the fuse contacts and then reinstalled them. Let me know how you make out. On mine the light would also go out when you would push the horn button. Keep a rag handy I would try not to get any spray on your paint. I don't know if it would hurt it but just to be on the safe side. Also you want to watch using high pressure car wash it can blow water into places you don't want it. It can blow in past seals and gaskets or even blow a gasket out. This was just a little info for you.
