I hope that was auto correct on your phone. .if not I'm stealing that to mess with people.
I've been in contact with Vibra-Technics ever since September or so last year. .every exchange of e-mails with Phil has been thorough. I can tell he's very passionate about his company/products.
I was nervous trying something like an untested motor mount but these guys don't mess around. .I think he said they had a couple hundred hours of engineering into it (don't quote me on that. .but it was a lot, can't find it now).
What the hell more could be said about a company?! Answer me that, just what more could a company do? All we've ever read is that this guy/company made something good, here's an example of an adjustment, the guy/company drops what they are doing to make the adjustment, sounds like if it's not an evolutionary change at least one that satisfies an application!
If everyone else on this planet committed gestures like this, this world would be quite a ways out of the crapper it is in!
I don't even think I need one of this mounts yet and I can't wait to order one!
+1 on the Vibra-Technics front mount.
Just installed it today. Definite improvement. Less handlebar vibration and I can see way better out of the mirrors now.
Install was easy. I did it on the kickstand with a small floor jack under the crank case to move the engine up and down during the job. I used a big phillips screw driver to line up the holes for the bolts thru the front of the frame into the small block. The provided instructions were right on.
Someone missed out by not designing this years ago. But now that its available, it is a game changer.
There's a big dip in a RH curve on my way to work which causes my shocks to compress then rebound considerably. I always noticed side flex during this. With this new mount the bike behaves way better. Just compression then rebound. No more need to counter steer to correct for the flex in the turn.
That is an added benefit to the smoother ride thru the RPM's. My old stock front mount had 36,000 MI on it. I would never go back now.
ive got 1200 miles on this mount, on my fxdwg 2010.
superb. less vibes, clear mirrors.better handling.
you wont regret buying it.
best thing i put on my bike, next to the mustang seat.
it sounds like this is something i might want to but on the list
the only place i really notice vibration is on my feet and its not really too bad or maybe im just used to it
i rode a buddies newish road glide and that was the main thing i noticed was how smooth the bike was. also learned that the road glide is not for me
i have a true track front and back as motor stabalizer but it does nothing for vibration.
i thinkin i cound use this mount on the front and leave tthe true trtack on the back
I have a few hundred miles on mine now and I think it's actually improved from when I first installed it. Rubber setting in? I don't know.
The stock mount, for my bike, kept me from riding 3k+ RPM. Was just too buzzy and I'd come home tingling for a while. Now I can ride it any RPM I feel like without issue. My bike has a resonance at 3100 so I try not to stay there but everywhere else is great.
Guys, where are you getting these mounts shipped from when you buy them? Does Vibra-Technics have a U.S. shop or store, or do they ship them all from England? Reason I ask is I'm in Canada and although it can be painful and kind of expensive getting goods shipped in from the States, it's even worse getting goods from across the pond. My Fat Bob needs a new front mount pretty bad and I can't see dropping the $190 the dealer wants for the poorly designed factory mount. Might as well pay a bit more one time and get a proper mount. Thanks guys.
