I have 902 miles on mine . At 260 miles 3rd gear when out . They said it had 1 broken shim and 2 shims were missing . Got a whole new gear set and all is good . I did change the trans fluid twice though afterward . Then found the rear fender spacers were missing . Luckily it didn't damage the paint on the rear fender . Installed a detachable sissy bar and rack and swapped out the 12 inch windshield for a 14 inch . Much better now . Also changed the rear l/p holder out for a lay down one . Got a Arlen Ness big sucker and Bassani Road Rage Mega power 2-1 ordered (black ) . I love this bike ! . .
So quick update, I have the bike did some first round mods. But coming home and re-establishing a norm has taken over more then my riding fever. There's just a ton to do when you get home after 3 years and learn the routines.
So I am now at 100 miles. That was like 2 rides. Mostly on the stock system. So i'm jonesing. As of right now, Amazing! Every second has been a blast. Looking to log some serious miles. Haven't hit the highway yet so i'm limited where i can go with the *break-in* But i'm really trying to get through that as prescribed.
I'll be doing the handlebars here in the next 2 weeks. I still have some traveling to do. But with that is the levers, light, mirrors, and blinkers. Honestly the mirrors i'm not sold on how they look upon arrival.
Anyways, I'm still in love with this machine and very happy.
Goosander I have brand new rims off my 2015LR just ready to put on Ebay
Brand new with rotors, I had mirror chrome rims and rotors installed at purchase
Let me know if you want more info
If we could agree a price, I may well be interested, though I'm guessing shipping may be very costly. I'm assuming the picture you attached was one of the wheels - unfortunately I don't have permissions to view. Could you send me a message with your email?

Thats the second case of the third gear causing a gearbox failure, 1st was in Germany late last year.
After spending some time in this thread, I really want one of these. Currently have a chopped sporty, but a LR would be so much more comfortable. This is a nice forum. Mostly been at XL forum, but wandered over here when I started thinking about a dyna.
