one of the best parts I found after my cam swap is a cooler running engine, can run mid grade gas in the cooler weather and no pinging.

Look at the air/fuel mixture line. I've never seen one this good...2015 LR 103" Stage 1 before I added the K&N filter...

You can run regular or mid-grade in Harley's without any adverse effects. I almost always use premium, but sometimes if I have a 1/2 tank of premium, I'll fill up with Reg, or Mid to get a 90-91 blended rate. 91 or higher is recommended, and that's all you get out West. Here in the South our premium is 93 octane, 2 points higher than recommended. As long as your engine doesn't ping, I think you can run whatever you want. Many manufacturers with higher performance engines recommend premium, because that's how you get maximum performance. If your just going out for a nice leisurely cruise, I don't see the need for more expensive fuels. Premium fuel can cost 20-30 cents more than mid-grade...

Honestly, Im a softail guy but I never owned or rode a Dyna that I didnt like. The late model DYNA Low Rider is one of my favorite HDs ever... If I could afford a second newer bike, the one the OP Mentioned in black / silver would be my choice. Its a great ride.

That's the final tune with stock air cleaner; just took off the plastic piece that closes it up and restricts air flow...

Free up the breathing and exhaust and good things happen with a simple re-flash. Stage 1 is as far as I need to go.

Agreed, and well stated! If you want a fast bike, buy a crotch rocket! My previous bike was a Suzuki Hayabusa...cured my need for speed.

I too spent my time on crotch rockets. Bought a new CBR 600 F2 in 1991, a new CBR 900 RR in 1994, a new CBR 1100 XX in 1998, a new ZZR 1200 in 2006, and a new GSXR 600 in 2012. Had my fun on these land rockets. My need for speed has been more than satisfied. Been there and done that.

My Stage 1 Low Rider is all I need now.
