I remember when this thread always stayed on page one. Today near bottom of page 3. I am guessing the Low Rider owners have moved to different models or did all the changes to their bike they wanted...
There have to be guys who are buying up garage queen LRs. Wish more of them would join the thread.
I will not be moving onto anything other than my LR. I'm 53 and my LR will be what I ride until I stop riding. It has everything I need and nothing I don't.

At 70 this might be the last bike I buy; but than again I also might see one I can't live without...
I've been making the most of some good weather the last couple of days. Spent 5 hours in the saddle yesterday. Enjoyed every mile. This FXDL is so much fun.
Still rocking mine! I prefer to think of the downfall of this thread as more of us are out riding than posting online lol. But really I'm stuck at work today and most every other day. I'm sad to say I have put as many miles on my low rider in the 5 years I've owned it as I did my CBR the first year I owned it. Not that I love this bike any less but back then I was single and worked half the hours I do now so I spent all my time out riding vs now its once a week or so I actually get out to ride.
On a side note, my low rider has been down with a broken ignition since bike week last month. I finally got around to cutting down the ignition bracket and deleting the igntion altogether, added security and had the dealer program the bike to be "keyless" so now all power comes on when I hit the run switch. Great upgrade over the stock ignition I've had problems with for years!
What did the dealer charge to switch it over to keyless? The plastic switch on my ignition fell off while riding so now Im forced to use the key to start the bike and turn it off. Wouldn't be that big of a deal if I could leave the key in like on my sporty, but its a pain in the *** to take it in and out of my pocket every time I get on or off.

Total cost was $293 for the security system (ordered offline, MSRP is 360), and the dealer charged me $42 to install the security, program the fobs and program the bike to be "keyless". I could have had them just program the bike to be keyless but without security that would mean anyone could just walk up and start the bike. I'm not sure if they cut me a deal on the programming because I have had so many ignition problems or what but it seemed very fair to me. If your bike already has security I would for sure look into getting it programmed for keyless, and bypass using the ignition at all.

I put a buck 2 on mine today. (I don't even know if that makes any sense but it sounded cool. 102 miles...) The weather was absolute perfection today in NE PA.
I stopped in one of the dealerships and drooled over all the new bikes. Not that I'm going to be making any changes, but one can dream. They had a couple $42K CVO's, ha ha! Looked like one guy was ready to plunk down the cash and ride out on one.

Still love my LR but this tsport I bought has been too much fun. I'm sure in another month or two I'll have a proper bike rotation going. LR is actually down with a bad valve stem core at the moment, so I at least have an excuse (well, kind of...)
