I am now about 2 months out from getting my LR and I am really looking forward to it.
First, I plan to sell off my current bike on Cycletrader in late March or early April. I have used Cycletrader in the past it worked really well.
Second, I am going to contact a good 10-12 HD dealers in my area and see who has a basic no-frills black 2014 LR as new old stock. I do not want the security system or the ABS--at least not for $1200.
I would prefer one of the 2015 colors but not at a $2000-2500 premium over the basic black.
Seems a lot of LR owners were able to get one for $12,400 (the lowest I recall being reported) to $13,000.
I will use the money I save over not getting the security package or another color to by a DK intake, V&H Big Shots, and Fuel Programmer from Fuel Moto. Only other thing I need is a Memphis Shades screen.
I will have no trade to deal with and no need for any dealer financing. Will be all about price.

Think I'm going to go ahead and get the forwards, just too cramped with further forward mids. Can I keep the pegs where they are currently for an alternate position for my feet?
I'm 5'10" with a 30 inch mid-seam any thoughts on full forwards vs. Reduced reach, on my fat Bob I always felt slightly too extended with the full forwards, but I sat on a wide glide with them and felt fine, weird huh
I am no stranger to motorcycle dealerships but this will be my first time buying a HD. There are so many HD dealers in Northern IL that someone is going to want to sell a bike.
