LED Brake light causing red "warning" light on speedo

I replaced my brake light bulb with an LED bulb and now the red warning light is coming on next to the speedo... I've done a search but didn't find a fix. Can the bike be programmed to "see" the LED? or can a load equalizer be installed in the witing? I've had to do this with LED turn signals, but never a brake light... Evidently, the computer is getting "smarter"???

If I missed a post that answers it, my apologies, please point me in the right direction.

What LED's do you install? I have the CD LEDs both front and back in my 19 RKS and they work flawlessly.

No brand name, but I've used the same bulbs on my '03 and they work perfectly as well.

is the bulb you pulled a bulb for "can" system? if so, it maybe seeing it as a bulb out if that is a system on your machine. there is a work around so google it, will be for auto but will apply.

03 non Canbus 18 is Canbus and needs compatible bulbs.

Thanks guys... I obviously didn't think about that... Is there a workaround for our scoots, or should I just get a new bulb??? I'm hoping the former as this bulb looks great!!!
