My only experience with your pipe is at the dealer show in Cinci. You were busy telling people it is was high end stainless and I was busy sticking magnets to it.
Not all stainless is non-magnetic, you know, whether "high end" or not. Plus, if nonmagnetic stainless is bent or deformed (as in forming head pipes), the process can alter the lattice structure enough to render it partly magnetic.

I've been bending and forming various grades/alloys and series of stainless steel for 30 plus years and I have to say that's the first time I've ever heard of it becoming magnetic from forming or bending. I've seen stuff get magnetized by a **** ton of welding. We'll be breaking out the magnets in the shop tomorrow that's for sure. Oh and to stay on topic I have SE tapered rods and have had no problems. I think fuel moto makes/sells great stuff so I'm sure those rods will work too. I'd really love to see results on how much deflection there really is in any brand push rod and how much it really changes the true length of the rod...ill bet a jelly donut, and I really like jelly donuts, that it'll be a thousandth or 2 tops at the extreme top of the rpm range.
I'll give this thread about another hour before FM swings their sponsor dick and the whole thing will disappear.
I started a thread about FM's claim that if you buy a tuner from them, they will supply a base map to you. I made some changes to my bike and requested a new map. After jumping through all their hoops ( receipt, customer # ect) I was told they don't do that...Even though they still advertise they do.
A day later, FM swung their Sponsor dick and the whole thread was deleted.
Needless to say, If I was broke down in Death valley in August and FM had a stand there, I'd pitch a tent and order parts elsewhere and wait for snail mail to deliver the parts.
I am not bashing FM, simply relating my poor experience with them.
Mods, Get out the ban hammer...I'm happy to pay the price for calling bullshit when bullshit is served up.
Iron is what is magnetic. Higher the grade. The less iron and more chromium and nickel. This is how alloys work. 304 is a series. By this number we know that it has at least 50% of its make up as iron. We also know that this is not a magnetic material. So, is it really even 304? .........and I believe the above is trying to talk about work hardening. Something that needs to taken into consideration with all metals and alloys. BUT is doesn't keep anyone from bending, non magnetic, 304 stainless.

FM has always been there with a new base map for me everytime I've changed bikes to engine upgrades.
I do those things frequently.

LOL Definitely not a rant, Just sharing my experiences with FM. I hear and understand that many have received great customer service from them. I have not, and as a result of their poor customer service in my case, they will not receive any of my $ ever again.
I'll be happy to post my name, customer #, receipt #, and the details of the build here on this forum and let's see if they live up to their obligations by publicly posting the map here.
I doubt they will...
