So, are you saying the 10-spline that holds the rotor on the primary shaft sheared all the teeth in the rotor causing it to not spin with the crankshaft?
Yea, this guy is confusing as to what exactly is going on... Sounds more like the crank nut loosened up and the splines on the rotor stripped out not charging the battery and because of that it's not starting properly... "I THINK" no definite conclusions....
Sounds like several issues going on here.
Carb tuning, battery draining, possibly other electrical issues.

Don't get discouraged, just eliminate the issues one at a time, till you nail them all. Once its sorted, it will run great, as long as you have the correct jets in there. I or others on here can get you a ballpark baseline if need be for a crate 111"-
Any idea what jets in the E now?
