I have found Newcastle HD, formerly Zanotti's, the best online supplier of HD parts. Competitive pricing, might save a bit with Boardwalker but Newcastle has been very easy to deal with on refunds and via their chat feature.
Found New Castle.. There is a Harley dealer in town here, I was hoping to beat their price, but I guess it won't be by enough to hassle with. Usually can get 20% off if you ask and know someone they know.

Yes, Boardtraker, my bad. Did not know they had closed; never bought anything from them but a friend bought a cam plate and associated hardware from Boardtracker a couple of months back. For small orders, I go to a local dealer; three in my area. However, when building and buying hundreds of dollars in parts, Newcastle, plus shipping, always beats the local dealers as they never offer discounts except for the slower winter season (not really much winter in south Texas) but only on certain parts; usually big bore kits.
I forget what cams you are looking for but might find some used if you look around.

Looks like I'm back to the drawing board to source one #$@&@#$ers!
So I've had one mfer from ebay try and pass off a stock cam, and another vender that apparently doesn't actually ship things....
Getting parts for Harley's isn't anything like buying stuff for imports....
I thought it was supposed to be easier to get things for domestics vehicles.
If this is what it's going to be like I might put this mother$%@#er up for sale and go back to Jap bikes you can actually get the parts you order in a reasonable amount of time
My cam chest has been open for two weeks now along with the rocker box. I set the covers back on but if any corrosion forms internally I'm going to start a case and sue those @ssholes.
jfc save the drama for the Hallmark Channel ffs! They've got a whole bag of excuses. I'm pretty sure I've seen the "warehouse has been struggling with upgrades in their ordering system" one referenced in one of many 1 star Yelp reviews. smdh
I'll keep them in mind alright, as the last place I'll EVER order parts from again....

I understand that your build process has been less than smooth from the beginning and while I empathize with your frustrations, the statement above is far fetched at best. JMO

I hope so. I'd be more worried in the spring. Get a lot of humidity with the snow melt, but the temperatures cause a TON of condensation to form on every d@mn thing. Had a Olds 307 that sat for a few weeks with a plug out, rusted the rings and seized the whole thing up.
It should be fine. I'm mostly just venting.
Speaking of plugs, (I did thread them back in) they were a bit sooty, found a good video from S&S about how to set the a/f and make sure you have the right sized jets,
when I set the a/f I turned it until it ran rough then backed off a bit until it smoothed out. But after watching that video, that must have left it too rich.
I'm staying more optimistic about this build than I'm letting on. I get aggravated by setbacks... I know I Jeckyll and Hyde. I really try not to, just can't help it sometimes.
for what it's worth, i think that all HD dealers are suffering with parts orders and shipments from the MoCo. my local dealer has been having all kinds of issues both with orders getting canceled, not being able to track orders and all kinds of other crap. more an issue with HD than at the dealer level. i'e bought lots of stuff from Surdyke and it's always been a good deal i think that they are suffering from the same crap with HD as my local dealer. the story is that HD has changed/updated their systems, but the kinks aren't worked out yet.
