Sometimes it does; sometimes it doesn't; preload is not always the solution to valve train noise.
Fair enough but if Im in there checking anyway why not kick it up a notch to .145 and see I know youre not keen on the feuling lifters but they are only 2 seasons in, it dynoed last year with them in and they are USA made. So Im trusting they are not an issue
Did you let the rods bleed down long enough? I adjusted mine too quickly and had the same problem you have. Be patient.
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about that too. I know I did between cylinders but unsure whether I waited between intake and exhaust on the same cylinder. I guess I didnt think it was necessary as both lifters are on the base circle.
The valve train isnt obnoxiously noisy just noticeable to me. And bike runs strong otherwise. Thought between the .131 preload and rocker lockers it would at least as quiet as before. Maybe the Andrews cams are noisy idk (maybe I should push my earplugs further in )
