Introducé myself, im Danny from the Netherlands europe.
i have a ultra classic touring 2002, en pump the engine up from 88 to 95 ci .
Bore the cilinders and buy some good pistons ..i thought.
But i have 1 piston to deck clearance from
.005 left side bike to .007 right side below deck thats ok for my.
but now the rear piston is teribble!
left side bike 0.0095 below deck and right side 0.0095 above deck!!!.
im thinking and ask someone, so we thought conrod bend.
so i put the cilinder and piston off and measure
and what you think, conrod is straight .
and now i take the piston and measure, and what i saw..
Piston Pin to top left side vs right side 0.019 difference.
how is that posibble!!!
upper ringland 0.019 smaller than right side ..
But now new pistons or machine the piston and machine the cilinder down 0.019 , than its zero deck and ready to run soon.
new pistons a few weeks or months...
If I understand what the OP is saying; I don't know how that happens either. I do know that Wiseco had issues a while back with land width and ring gap. Suggest that the OP take pictures and contact Wiseco. Next step might be to get a set of CP pistons at 3.938" and bore cylinders to fit.
