The kill switch is in the Run position, right? Sorry, it's come up before.
Get a schematic for your bike and start following the wires. As mentioned, the white wire at the coil should have power. It gets it from the kill switch, which gets it from the ignition switch, which gets it from the battery. There's some breakers and/or fuses inbetween.
Well chit Dr., I assume I had it on 'run" dammit... lol Now Now you have me wondering.. I took the ignition module off checking wires.. Ill put it back together and see...
My bike won't crank if the switch isn't in the run position. I think my 95 Evo was the same but can't swear to it.
But that said, if your white wire to your ignition module has no power, trace it back and see why not. That's your problem, your ignition has no power to it.
I'll report back in a little bit.. going out in the garage and put it back together and make sure I have the on/off switch on.. I'm pretty sure I did, but..
Ok.. we have power!! CHIT!! My brain is tired from tracing wires.. BUT, with the kill switch on.. coil has power. So, I guess need to figure out why the red LED light isn't coming on on the ignition modual..
Schex3x he can put power to the coil but without the signal from the ignition module the coil is not going to fire.
Joe you could install points again if you want..lol
If you want to jumper a wire jumper a feed to the white wire. But you eventually need to figure out why that white wire doesn't have power so trace it back.
