I am in need of a right hand lower fairing bracket for my Tour Glide Classic. The PO tipped the bike over and the cast metal bracket broke. This is the bracket that attaches the fairing to the crash bar. I have tried ebay and all kinds of google searches, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there for a Tour Glide of this vintage.
Does anyone know of Harley wrecking yards or other places that may not have a web presence that I can contact? Call me crazy, but I want to restore this bike this winter. Nothing like dumping in a lot more money than it is worth...but I just love this thing. Thanks!!
I think that is what I meant. The bracket actually goes through the bottom of the upper fairing and the top of the lower fairing (if that makes sense) and then clamps on to the crash bar. Very sturdy setup when not broken.
The closeup is the broken bracket. The other is what it is supposed to look like. I have thought about fabbing something, but it is very visible. Maybe if it were hidden behind the fairing, I would take a stab at it.
