Need information please ,'!!!! Given a bike some years back, it’s an odd duck for sure. Frx aftermarket frame, and crankcase, best I can tell a 94 cruiser primary, etc etc.well a friend says primary leakin good and knows this primary so let’s replace drain plug gasket and refill, Hum sounds ok so 30 minutes ans a few bears later it’s done. Bike sits a day then I go for a spin, clutch seems to be slipping and not wanting to hit 4th or 5th. , park it over night and oil from primary everywhere about a 32oz puddle. Pull clutch chain tensioner and there sits a ferry in belt !!!! Oh yea lm torqued at my buddy, didn’t even check things....anyway can I clean clutch pack and belt with brake cleaner and is that an ok fix or am l out big bucks....help please
I trusted someone said he knew about this primary. Clearly he pulled the plug replaced o ring and dumped oil in. After l rode it I knew there was a problem. I found the chain tensioner plate gasket leaking while bike was on kickstand so l leaned it on a block on the other side and pulled the tensioner plat only to see a belt, that’s it period. Previous oil leak was the rear wheel chain Oiler turned up to high. I’m not a Harley Mechanic nor do I claim to be. It’s my experience **** happens if you don’t do things yourself. Damage is done, friend is told off and I need to figure out the fix
As long as it didn't sit in there too long I think you might have a chance of cleaning it up but you're going to have to watch out what it does to strength of the belt... I feel for you man... How long was it full of primary oil?

As far as I know the primary would be an 86 or earlier. That's when they I believe they did away with the secondary chain oiler.. can you post pics of your bike and the primary with the cover off.?
Yea....I will in a few. I will say this it was built in 2011, the frame is aftermarket kraft techFXR crankcase is aftermarket too, built as an FXR replica but with forwards controls not mid cause it’s the wrong primary for that
