Before you pull all that apart clean the entire head with brake clean or something to get rid of all the oil.. Even the underside of the right side of the head where the pushrod tubes seat in the cylinder head... The O-rings there will leak and oil will travel around the head making it look as if the head gaskets are leaking.. is the motor all stock including OEM head gaskets?
It's not stock. I'm 99% sure all gaskets have been replaced at some point but I have no idea how long or how many miles ago that was. I'll get it cleaned up and take another look. Thank you!
I stumbled onto this thread and just went all the way through it. It's a great story and an awesome bike. Way back in one of the first posts you mentioned the heads were done by Head Quarters. I had the heads on my '91 Springer done by them. I talked to the owner on the phone about exhaust systems and he recommended keeping the stock headers with the crossover and running Cycle Shack side dumps, which I did. That's exactly what your dad had on that first picture. If you ever stumble across the dyno sheet I would love to see a post of it, especially if it was done before the stroke and exhaust change. I've lost mine but would like to pass it along to the present bike's owner, one of my grandsons. This is me and him in the picture below.

I'm sorry I have no idea how I missed your post. This is the only dyno info I have. No idea when it was taken but it looks like he already had the supertrapps on at the time.
Inner primary cracked. No idea how or why. Stopped for gas and saw a massive amount of oil underneath her. As some of you probably know the 87' inner is not going to be easy to replace. I'm searching and in the meantime I'm going to have an aluminum welder take a look. This really sucks.

Wow! Thats pretty bad. It looks like it wraps around toward the bottom. Good luck getting it fixed or replaced. That really sucks man.

I've not been able to find a used case. Thought I found one through internet searching but I just got scammed. Dropped mine off with a welder. We'll see how that shakes out in a week or so.

Torque will do that, that's why after market companies made the Torque Plate for the righthand side to connect the engine and trans,. that's why also its absolutely critical to have no preload on either your trans end of the inner primary or the engine end when fitted. Either the motor or the trans needs to be loose until you to torque the inner primary against the engine and trans and then lock the trans (usually) down to the trans plate. there is a whole range of things you can do to help prevent the motor or trans from shifting (even ever so slightly) under load. For example, ensure engine to frame mounts are flat and as flush as possible to give the best binding surface available, same goes for the trannie. use fine tread bolts where the Factory has course threads on mounting points. this will allow you to safely torque them done that little bit extra (without going silly of course). I'm about to put a 120hp (here's hoping) S&S 113 in my 86 wide glide and i searched for about a year for a spare quality inner primary and was lucky enough to find a Genuine NOS item.
The OP has a solid mount engine and trans, torque arm really ain't going to do much for him He needs to find out why the motor is moving so much and he should go to as suggested fine thread grade 8 bolts to mount the engine to the frame. I've had issues where the lip seal on the case broke because of a lot of power in the motor It's more common than you think but I've never seen an inner primary break like that something must have been really loose.. Also take a good look at your frame mounts..
Also I'd like to see a pic of the inside of that primary You sure something didn't fall out a bolt or something and get wedged between the front sprocket and chain and the case?
