Wow. I can't believe. The first ever oil thread on the forum. Just being sarcastic. I use V-Twin specific 20-50 in my Evo and Twinkie. Straight 60 wt. may make the lifters quieter in the Evo. I have run it. A trade off. In my humble opinion. Either one does the job that it is supposed to do. Although I am not a oil expert. But. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I use the chrome one.
I put a handful of magnets all over the outside of the filter too.
Most folks would tell ya that this old trick will trap metal shavings against the inside of the filter wall.
That's just an old wives tale.

The real reason for the magnets is to align the molecules of oil.
As in "opposites attract and likes repel."
Properly aligned by the magnets oil will properly lube and repel heat build up.

This is an old bikers trick I learned from a J.C. Whitney catalogue back in the 60's

Thinking about it a little more. With pans and shovels straight 60 wt. or 70 wt. oil was necessary with the iron cylinders and aluminum heads. With the Evo with aluminum cylinders with cast in steel sleeves with aluminum heads tolerances are much closer. So. V-Twin 20-50 Syn on the Evo. Just my
